Howard D. Skinner

Howard D. Skinner was born in Livingston County, Michigan, May 30, 1859 and died May 4, 1953 in Clark Memorial Home in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He became a member of the Michigan Conference in 1889. He served the following appointments: Summit on the Big Rapids District, Fremont, Perrinton, Elsie, Kalamazoo East Avenue, Otsego, Dowagiac, Jackson Greenwood Avenue, Grand Haven, Muskegon Wood Avenue, and White Pigeon. He was president of the Eaton Rapids Camp Meeting Association for 7 years. He retired in 1934 and became associate pastor of the Haven Church, Jackson, where he served for 8 years.

In 1881 he married Alma F. Coy who passed away many years ago. In 1901 he married Maude M. Morse. Mr. and Mrs. Skinner resided in the Clark Home since February 21, 1950.

At the Conference session in 1949 he was presented with the conference cane. Interment was at Elsie, Michigan.
